Fiction & Leisure Reading

No idea what to read next? Read all of your favourite titles? You could try a new genre, look at different authors and explore our fiction shelves for ideas. The LRC staff are there to help or you could always check out the following links. Visit the websites below for tips and suggestions; we are always adding new titles to our stock! Don’t forget to access your Eclipse and Searchstar account for Gaynes School book reviews, to reserve books and check your own fiction reading record. Remember if you are in year 7 or 8 you need to read 9 fiction titles a year and choose from a variety of genres to complete one of your Gaynes Reading Scheme Tasks.

'The active encouragement of reading for pleasure should be a core part of every child's curriculum entitlement because extensive reading and exposure to a wide range of texts make a huge contribution to students' educational achievement.'
