Gaynes teachers in Havering Primaries
This year Ms Kirby, Ms Pires and Mrs Campbell have been teaching in seven Havering primaries
Ms Kirby has been so impressed with the progress made by Elaine Jones at Benhurst and Kim Luckham at Parsonage farm, that she has nominated them for a primary language teacher award. We anxiously await the outcome of the competition and wish them every success.
Many of the schools involved in the Havering Primary Languages Project have been working on projects connected to the World Cup. Our teachers took care to reflect this in their language work. A particularly enjoyable unit focused on French-speaking players in the world cup. Who would have thought that Thierry Henry would send kisses to Ms Kirby? (In the context of a role play interview with the BBC.)
We would like to thank the teachers in the primary schools and congratulate them on their progress in French. It is simply wonderful to see their confidence in French blossoming term by term. We look forward to continuing to work with them next year!
