Half Term 5 – Buddhism
Buddhism is different from the first three religions studied as Buddhists do not believe in the existence of God but in the existence of gods. Buddhism is one of the newest major religions of the world with millions of followers all over our planet.
Students will learn the key features of Buddhism; what Buddhists believe, how Buddhists worship, the history of Buddhism and the impact of Buddhism upon the world.
Throughout Year 7 students have one lesson of Religious Education per week. Students will learn about five of the worlds major religions; Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism.
