Year 9 go to The Treasury - March 2011
As part of the Citizenship Scheme of work, students have been studying how the recent cuts will affect the economy of the country. A number of our year nine students decided to take part in the Chance to be Chancellor Competition and here was their opportunity to present their views to the Chancellor's team at the Treasury. Luke Moss wanted to know " Why there is such segregation between the rich and the poor regarding education?" whilst India Quilan wanted a clear answer to "Why the public don't get a say in what is going to be cut?". Our students also had an opportunity to meet Gary Price, Aviva UK Marketing Director and the members of the Treasury team. It was an informative day with lots to take on board and thanks should be directed at Mr Earle for accompanying the students.
